Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 14, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Routezy ("we", "us", or "the app") handles your information when you use our iOS application.
1. Information We Collect
Routezy is designed to respect your privacy. We collect only what's necessary to deliver the app's features.
- Anonymous Account ID: We create an anonymous user ID using Firebase Authentication. No name, email, phone number, or social login is required.
- Travel Data: Countries you mark, dates, city names, photos and notes you add. This data is stored in your private Firebase Firestore document, linked only to your anonymous ID.
- Photos: Photos you attach to memories are stored locally on your device. They are not uploaded to our servers.
- Subscription Data: If you subscribe to Routezy Pro, RevenueCat handles purchase verification with Apple. We do not see or store your payment information.
2. What We Don't Collect
- Real names, email addresses, or contact information
- Device location, GPS coordinates
- Contacts, calendar, or any third-party data
- Analytics tracking or advertising identifiers
- Browsing history or cookies (Routezy is not a web service)
3. How We Use Your Data
Your travel data is used only to deliver the app's core functionality: showing your map, generating stats and badges, building your travel passport, creating Wrapped stories. We never sell, share, or use your data for marketing or advertising.
4. Third-Party Services
Routezy uses the following third-party services:
- Firebase (Google): Authentication and Firestore database. Google's privacy policy applies.
- RevenueCat: Subscription management. RevenueCat's privacy policy applies.
- Apple App Store: Distribution and purchase processing. Apple's privacy policy applies.
5. Data Storage & Security
Your travel data is stored on Google Cloud Firestore with industry-standard encryption (at rest and in transit). Local data on your device (photos, settings) is stored in iOS Secure Storage. Only you can access your data through your installed app.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Delete all your data: Use the "Delete data" option in the app's Profile screen. This permanently erases your visits, photos, notes, badges, and goals — both locally and from the cloud.
- Delete your account entirely: Use "Delete account" in the Profile screen. This deletes everything above plus your anonymous account record.
- Export your data: Contact us at the email below if you need a data export.
7. Children's Privacy
Routezy is rated 4+ but is not specifically designed for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes to This Policy
If we update this policy, we'll change the "Last updated" date above and notify users via an in-app message for material changes.
